Ive recently tried to play with authentic assists instead of full. Whenever i take any corners i either have to lift off the brakes so much that i dont stop in time or they lock up. Doesnt matter if brake pressures is 100 or 75 its either they lock up and get a flat spot or it doesnt stop in time. Forced to use full assists because of this, how can i fix?

    Hi,

Do you have load cell pedals or potentiometer based pedals? You can also try to change the bias few clicks to the rear.

Apperently theyre neither? Im using the thrustmaster T2PM Pedals which are "frictionless" with magnetic sensors.
Edit: it says they use hall effect sensors

I checked out the pedals you’re using; they do use hall-effect sensors, but the lack of pressure and resistance means you’re relying more on travel memory than muscle memory. This makes it easier to lock up brakes like the Formula Ultimate, even if you can tune them for better performance.

As one simracer to another, I’d strongly recommend upgrading to load cell pedals. They let you brake using muscle memory, which helps prevent lock-ups and leads to faster, more consistent lap times.

Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals cost around 200 EUR. I've been using them for a couple of years now and I'm very happy with them. A friend of mine uses the Fanatec CSL LC - they are a bit cheaper and also fine but I do not like the stiffness of the brake pedal. If you drive older cars I would recommend a load cell brake which allows a good amount of travel.
The T-LCM also can be modded with springs and washers which are included.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other experience with load cell pedals, so I don't know what else there is with a lower price tag.

Aside from everything else that has been said already, I suggest you try changing the brake bias (ideally in combination with reducing brake pressure).

What I find is that many cars in AMS2 have the brake bias too front heavy by one or two percent, at least for my liking. This can lead to frequent lockups in the fronts, leading to understeer (whereas rear lockups tend to make you spin).

Additionally, and this can be really helpful in cars without tire blankets, I also found that many cars actually benefit from setting the BB +2 towards the rear as you exit the pit lane, and then gradually adjust back to default as the brakes and tires get up to temperature (and the track gets grippier, depending on how much rubber there is and what the conditions are like).

EDIT: It should also be said that braking is one of the most important and challenging tasks in these particular cars. Remember that you bleed off (almost quite literally) tons of downforce as you slow down, so you need to adjust your pedal pressure and ease off the brakes accordingly at the right time. It's one of the trickier things to get right in the sim, IMHO.

I would recommend trying lower brake sensitivity in game controller settings, something like 10 instead of default 50. It makes it easier to ease of the brakes but still you have the maximum braking force available.
