I'm guessing the issue is due to my AMS2 limited use and lack of experience, but my Heusinkveld Sprint brakes to not respond as well in AMS2 as in AC or ACC, for example. The brakes seem to work decent early on, but as the race progresses I find the brake response getting worse. I have mostly beginner non-authentic setting in place, as right now I just want to have fun and just want to drive, but I must admit that it is getting frustrating not being able to brake properly. Advice needed- thanks. :)

The brakes are maybe overheating or not getting to temperature. They might also be getting a lot of wear

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was guessing. Until I get better with braking strategy, is there a way that I can turn this braking realism off just to have some arcade-like racing fun in the meantime? I really am enjoying AMS2....other than my braking issues. LOL

Maybe damage. I don’t think you can turn off the thermodynamics of them. Maybe just open the brake coolers a bit

As well you should turn ingame deadzones of your pedals to 0%. It's at 7% if I remember. Default deadzone in the driver is 5%, so 5% + 7% is a lot of deadzone.
Likely what others said as well.

Also sensitivity to 0 so it’s easier to brake

The way brakes fade and meet their optimal temp window will receive a substantial revision and individualization for all cars in the game.

It's true that some brakes just aren't responding well, even when heated up properly in current main release - this will be brought under control (Race cars will still require proper warmup for their brakes, also depending on what brake material they use while road cars should not really cold-fade so harshly for example)

Thanks, everyone! Wow, I did the opposite and thought that higher numbers would be better. Oops! LOL WHY OH WHY IS THERE NOT A MANUAL AVAILABLE TO READ ABOUT ALL OF THESE SETTINGS??? Just sayin'. :)

As a newer sim driver, it is very handy on titles like AC that a lot of the settings have explanations regarding what exactly the settings do. I just wish that the good folks that created Automobilista 2 also did that. It is kind of a shame that one has to scour the Internet for help just to learn about a setting with a particular sim game, but I guess that is the nature of the world that we are all living in now. I'm 55 years old, and apparently out of touch. LOL I'm blessed though, to have built an incredible (and expensive) rig, but just need to learn how to use everything correctly now. SOOOOO much fun, regardless. :)

Its better to leave them a 50, because its linear then.

There are a lot of pedals out there and while I agree 50 (linear) is the best for "good" or "normal" breaking, in my particular CSL load cell it is (much) better a set close to 0 (10 for me) resulting a exponential curve with a more steep response at the beggining in order to reduce tyre lock [Edit] at the end brake phase.

What I realy miss is a more effective brake release.
I'm too lazy but DIY is on my way.

You should remove any dead zones and re-calibrate perhaps?

    Interesting post

I have the Simjack pro pedals which are a knock off your HE Sprint model and was having the same feeling

people reply to your post are quite helpful and would agree about having more explanations what settings do concretely
