Hi there, I'm having an issue where in the custom controls area, it is not picking up the BJ Sim Racing shifter. I can 100% confirm that this shifter is working as it is picked up in all other games. I've tested this on a friend's PC and he has the exact same issue. Does anyone have a solution? Seems like a big, or it simply won't recognise this device which is very odd. Cheers, Kenny
Hey! Have you tried connecting the shifter only (wheel and pedals disconnected) and choosing Wheel Make Custom in controls settings? If the shifter gets picked up, try swapping USB ports of the devices, when reconnecting them.
Hi guys thanks for the response. It is quite weird, yes I have used Custom controls and have tried different USB ports with no luck. I work in the sim racing industry and I now have 2 customers with this same issue. I am very stuck on what to try next, so that is why I am reaching out here to see if it is a known bug? Cheers
Hello @Kenny Conomos , 1) is that this device: (the only one on BJ site fwiw) BJ Steel Shifter 3.0 (bjsimracing.com) 2) Can you pls run "dxdiag" tool, click magnifier icon on Start menu and type "dxdiag". Navigate to "input" tab, and pls screenshot the window and/or click "Save All Information" and attach here. Example: 3) Alternatively, you can try the following - right click on AMS2 in Steam library -> Properties, navigate to "controller" and set as below. 4) navigate to Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\111147887 directory. Delete directory named "automobilista 2" (you can see the tree and directories on screenshot below) Launch game, go and assign controls (those that you CAN assign (wheel, pedals etc). Exit game, relauch again and now try assigning shifter.
@Domagoj Lovric and when will it finally be possible to assign a sequential shifter to a steering wheel profile such as Fanatec?! It's annoying that you have to use a custom profile for such an essential function.
