Car stuck in neutral when starting a race in championship

Hi all,

I am trying to start a race in AM2 using the Championship area to run a series of races. Practice and Qualifying work fine, but when I try to start the car at the start of the race after the lights turn green (at the starting line) it just sits in neutral and no button presses on my controller seem to work to make the car go. Throttle is mapped to RT, Brake to LT, and other buttons are similarly mapped to the controller. I can verify all the buttons work fine on the controller in Practice, Qualifying, Test Day and other modes.

My control settings look like the pictures shown in the link. There are too many buttons here to map on my controller so I do use the keyboard for some buttons.

I have auto-clutch and auto-start engine enabled, so those should both make the car start moving when you press the mapped throttle button. But it doesn't. In fact NO buttons work at all. This controller works fine in every other mode BUT race. So what I am doing wrong?
