Championship sessions - Question about the session labels

Not sure I'm understanding the session titles.
For example, I started the 2024 Stock Car Championship.
When I am in practice I like to look at the session information so I know what to expect (required pit stop, race length, rules, etc.)
So Across the top I see :
(Q) Qualifying (P) Practice (R) Race 1 (Q) Race 1
The letters in parenthesis are actually in a white circle. This is confusing to me.
Why is the second race labeled "Race 1" and showing as a Qualify? Or is it just a label? Is there anything about rules that will be different in the second race?
