Hi, is it possible to change the Automobilista2 - folder to another partition? It uses the Win10 drive \documents\Automobilista2\.... But I want to use this drive just for Win10 and nothing else. I have a 1 TB HDD with enough space for replays and other data and it is dumb that the Win10 drive is peppered with rubbish, replays and more.
You can try to put your Automobilista2 doc folder to your desired destination and creating a symlink to it from the windows documents folder to "fake" the folder that leads to another destination though, maybe worth a try. (I did it for my AC documents folder and it works) description of how to create symbolic links for folders here: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/
Or move your documents folder 0. Make backup of your documents folder 1. Create a new folder named Documents at the target drive. 2. Navigate to This PC > Local Disk (C:\ > Users > User Name. 3. Right click on the Documents folder and select Properties. 4. Click on the Location tab, and type the new path to the Documents folder (here is D:\Documents). Then, click OK. (5. I never did this on my home computer, perhaps you have to copy files and folders from backup to new folder, or perhaps everything is moved automatically)
Great, this works. And just better, the whole \documents\ - folder is at a new location, now. Best thing to keep a clean, separate Win drive.
Why not just use Steam to move it to another location. I did exactly this yesterday with the beta as I am running tight on space on my primary SSD drive.
Sorry AMS2 is running on a separate SSD, Win10 is running on another separate MM2 SSD, but there was a not used 1TB HDD. But now, replays and other not time relevant things are saved on the 1 TB HDD. Maybe you should do the same if you are running tight.
