I've tested two thirds of the tracks using an Xbox One controller, swapping cars every three or four tracks. The vast majority of the tracks are either completely missing their rumble strip, sausage curb and corner-cut strip haptics, or have elements of them only partially present. I'm not presenting a list of the tracks I tested, because the issue is so all-pervasive that it's easy to find. Try Silverstone, for a good example.

Rumble strip function can vary too. There is a variety of curb that has a standard rumble strip element, with a more defined, saw-tooth strip behind it. On the few tracks where haptics are present, only the saw-tooth haptic functions. Also, on tracks with partial haptics, one side of the road will have active haptics, while rumble strips on the other side will have none.

Grass and gravel haptics are present on every track.

I got to 800 hours by January 1st, but since then, apart from testing the tracks to find how extensive the issue was, I've completely stopped playing. As far as controller support for racing is concerned, AMS2 is currently broken

In my experience with a Xbox 360 wired controller vibration is almost non-existent in AMS2 regardless of which car & track I use even with controller vibration set to maximum in the controller options (just like in PCars2).
AMS1 is very good in that aspect, controller vibration works well on kerbs and bumps, and it also provides good feedback when locking up under braking or when sliding on corner exit.

This is worse more than limited haptics (though it is pretty terrible). It's simply been left out as the game has continued to move forward in development. One thing I did find during my testing was that the Madness engine has one single haptic vibration for ALL trackside events!

Something I find odd is that PCars1 has decent controller vibration while PCars2 has almost no vibration (aren't both games using the same engine?), and this lack of controller vibration carried over to AMS2.

At the very least, you need the basic haptics of track boundaries and collisions. The rest is nice to have, but those two make or break the race experience.
