I have a problem with my Fanatec wheel, when i make a custom setup in controls i can assign the gearshifters, but when i start a session they don`t work ( and yes the wheel works fine in Fanatec control panel ) i don`t have the problem in other sims Solved
Yes i make a custom setup and map all buttons and shifters, but when i start a session it doesn`t work, for some reason the game meens that my shifters should be used to navigate the different pages in the controls setup
Yeah, that's some pesky bug. Please try removing your "default.controllersettings.v1.03.sav" from your user profile under the windows documents folder->Automobilista 2->savegame->(large number)->automobilista2->profiles If that doesn't do the trick, please try a fresh player profile by removing the complete Automobilista 2 folder from windows documents. It's a pain in the butt really and the bug is known, i can't make any promises, how long it will take to fix it, because it's a bit of tricky one.
I also have not been able to use the software since the December update. My Simucube 2 Pro also registers on only axis Z- and Z+; the pedals are fine but no response on track with the wheel. Yes, I have tried all of the quarter-turn attempts of calibrating a custom wheel config which have been suggested. This is not just my issue, I have seen so many others also locked out of our purchase. Great sim, but not being able to use if for a month more than sucks.
Thanks il``L try that , fingers crossed, tried both no luck, it`s crazy to make an update and then peoples gear dont work any more mine worked fine before the update, It`s the same crap as with my VR, when i switched from Oculus Rift S to Reverb G2 the vr don`t work any more and i never got an answer why
I guess it would be possible to just move this folder to a safe place as a backup - and then only let the game create the new profile files. No reason to recalibrate, remap, reset graphics and all that bull \\Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\<>\automobilista 2\profiles
Strange. I also have a CSW 2.5 but have not had any problems with the paddles on my McLaren GT3 rim not working even though they are mapped correctly. I also don't have to choose Make: Custom for it to work. For me it works to have Make: Fanatec and Model: CSW v2.5 Granted, I'm still running an old "safe" Fanatec driver that I haven't dared to upgrade because it is working at the moment -- v381 What version of the Fanatec driver are you running? What wheel rim do you have, and what is its firmware version? What are the buttons that you are trying to map as gear shifters? Are the V3 pedals connected to your wheelbase, or are they connected to the PC with a USB adapter? Any other hardware or software related to USB peripherals that we should know about, e.g. Fanalab, vJoy, or irFFB?
I have the same base and I`m using the Mclaren rim at the moment, i have the newest drivers and firmware it was not any buttons i where trying to map it was the shifters, my pedals are connectet to the pc via USB, they just released a smal update, it seems to have done the trick
