Hello. Im running a 12700kf (12Core) with 7900xtx. win 10 updatet My Problem is that the Game is using mostly the 6th Core around 97-100%. When it hits 100% it causes stuttering while the other Cores are mostly ideling, or for Example like the 2nd Core gets to 70% usage. What can i do to solve the problem? Its in VR aswell in normal. THX

Hey! .Thx for your reply. So, how much the Cores are used in your system? After flashing my Board to latest BIOS my Overclocking ist wiped. But... Problem stays. Core 2 and 6 are hovering around 95% an 99% with some 100% spikes. Solved the stuttering by lowering the priority from the steam vr compositor and other vr relatet processes. Wich also running on the 2nd Core. Overclocking the cpu ends in 100% usage of other (not more) Cores. Maybe u have an idea wich process are controling wich core have to be used. Im sure its a windows or chipset thing. Have a nice one
Try process lasso, a little app that optimises processes in Windows, the basic versionis free! Even allows you to assign programs to specific core(s). I would suggest assigning ams2 to core 4-12. I have a 6 core (with 6 virtual cores) i7 laptop and assign ams2 to core 4 to 12 and have no issues, you have way more compute available than me!
try to add -pthreads 4 in steam launch parameters. Don't know if its working in AMS2. In pCARS you assigned 4 threads to physics. 4 is maximum.
Hey. Thx for this Tip. Im not a big Fan to use software for build in functions windows allready had. But the Windows option to set Cores to specific Proceses doesnt do anything in my case. My i take a look at the Lasso App. TY Hey, this seems to do nothing in AMS2 same as some other Core/load/thread startingoptions. But THX What ist your Core usage while gaming against 10 AI?
At least using some older CPUs disabling virtual cores give some slight advantage in most games. And the CPUs also does run slightly colder. ByTheWay: I have tested the assignment of certain cores to to certain tasks/games and it does not work out profitable
