For some reason the game absolutely refuses to boot, but the beta build works perfectly fine. It gets past the splash screen and gives a bugsplat when trying to load the main menu. Things I've already tested: Fully reinstalling the game Uninstall-reinstall of Steamworks Common Redistributables + System Reboot Graphics driver update VR vs. flatscreen modes Deleting/renaming the AMS2 documents folder Verifying files Turning off HAGS (it was already off) Turning off the Nvidia overlay Turning off the Discord overlay Nothing seems to fix it, but the beta branch is fully unaffected by whatever is causing it not to boot.
One thing you could could try is a totally deep clean of Steam and AMS2. Probably somewhere some mod-leftovers too? I am sure there's something conflicting. Another is back up all your important files and do a clean install of your OS, but that's gonna keep you occupied for a few hours unless you've a backup image on an external SSD.
It randomly started working again, but I think Nvidia "Game Highlights" was the problem. I had turned it off previously, but something in that feature recognizes the base game AMS2 and tries to turn it on even if you have it set to "off" globally. It doesn't seem to recognize the beta, but I kept getting an empty "captured highlights" screen at the end of every AMS2 session.
