AMS2 (v1.4.6.4) just crashed at the end of an online quali session. Since then, it will always crash briefly after entering the "Multiplayer" menu; I cannot play online anymore. Restarting my computer did not work and I am not sure what else I could do. Maybe there is a cache directory which I could delete manually? Any help is appreciated, thanks so much!
Exit out of Automobilista 2 Locate the "Automobilista 2" folder in the My Documents folder on your system drive, and rename it to something else (this way, we have it as a backup in case this wasn't the source of the problem) Start Automobilista 2. This will generate a new "My Documents\Automobilista 2" folder with fresh settings. Test if you're able to enter the Multiplayer menu successfully. My guess is that you have something in your multiplayer server search filter that is causing a crash.
In that case, it should be safe to delete the fresh folder and rename your backup folder back to "Automobilista 2" again. Next thing to try: Go into Steam, right click on Automobilista 2, then click Properties => Local files => Verify integrity of game files. If that doesn't help, you can try to switch branch to "previousbuild". This is done from the same Properties dialog as above, under the Beta tab. I'm not quite sure how the previousbuild works with regards to multiplayer, but this is a typical step to try when troubleshooting AMS2.
Thanks for the mega-quick support; it's appreciated. @Roar McRipHelmet - Verifying game files did not work unfortunately. @selwyn gregory - Thanks for confirming I'm not the only one. I'll wait for a workaround or hotfix then. Could you share your sources concerning the popularity of the issue? Maybe there are other threads that I should follow.
