Custom Force Feedback File Not Working, Basic File Gets Recreated Instead

I have downloaded multiple custom force feedback files for my Thrustmaster TX. I have deleted all the other force feedback files in the AMS2 folder and added the custom FFB file. However, every time I start the game, the custom file does not work. Even when I set the the FFB to custom, I can see in the HUD that the game is using the basic FFB settings. When I exit the game and look at my files, I can see that the original basic FFB file that I deleted has been re-added to my folder.

Is there a way to make the game use my custom FFB file instead of the basic one? Any input would be appreciated, I am a just starting out with PC sim racing so I'm a bit of a noob right now.

 

No issue here using TX.
That's what I do:
1- Change FFB profile to Custom
2- End game
3- Copy Custom file over Default
4- Restart game
5- Enjoy
