After some research I quite amaze I didn't found anything about this Is there a way to change the date for the track ? Or the ambient temperature ? Maybe I'm dumb but I don't understand some of the chosen date for specific track (maybe they are official date that race took place ?) For example the Spielberg retro 1977 is set on 22/04/77 with ambient and track temps at 14 and 16c respectively and I'm just to bad of a driver to get any kind of heat into the tire which is quite frustrating.. Another example is Jerez with 18c ambient and 24c track
Being able to set date and time has been in and out of the sim a few times now, obviously something isn't right with the current versions but i'm sure Reiza are working very hard to get it right and it should be in game soon.
Hopefully this gets addressed soon. The fixed dates create such extreme situations of grip on some circuits that I don't even bother driving on them because they are just not fun at all. Selecting the real world weather of any given date in the history seems rather over-complicated as a solution and is causing delays in the implementation. I'd rather just see a slider for selecting the ambient temperature.
I love the idea of being able to select weather from any date. One thing I am curious about though is once AMS2 goes EOL if where they pull the weather data from closes down or has some sort of change does that mean that this feature gets broken permanently?
Im hoping this was part of the anniversary livetrack update bit that got postponed. And I hope it comes soon because there is a lot of things still missing on that front...
