Hi, I am facing some issues to set a dedicated server with 32 slots. I am not playing in the same machine, it is only for dedicated server. It is running wthout any issues when setting less 20 slots however, when I set 32 slots and server is full, when session move from qualification to race most of players are drop from lobby. It looks like my CPU it is not able to handle too many players. I am 100% sure that my internet connection is good enough. But I could not find any recommended specs for dedicated server. My machine is Intel Core i5-4590 with 16GB Ram and SSD. I have tried in another machine Intel Core i7-7700 but about five players are still getting dropped from server. There is any recommended spec for dedicated server?
players get drop from server at the end of qualification session. I am running the server at Amazon AWS. Anyone knows what went wrong?
Exactly the same happened for me, running at AWS using the "Wine workaround" on linux. I was monitoring the RAM and CPU usage, and everythings normal.. by the way, was the last Marchs release version.
Same here... Maybe the Wine utilization? Anyone with the same problem on a Windows Server? Need at least 30 slots on the server.
I have limited my server and events to 20 people since more seems to really destabilise the server and even then from 16-20 there are often drops. I don’t know if it is a program issue or a wine issue. One thing is for sure. We need not only a linix server program, but we need a better one. I can only hope that Reiza has worked/will work on one to couple it along with the MP update or not too long after.
what settings do you use. - how many minutes long was the qualy. - how many pilots on the server. - personalized or original livery/skins. - which track and car.
