Disable Soft Lock?

New to the game, trying the 250cc superkarts at Cadwell Park; the karts have a fixed 18.5° steering lock, but my G29 has 900°, so how do i simply divide the latter by the former (or any other range, ie. 720° or 540° etc.), to smooth out the steering?

Currently, the kart's direction of travel is mostly determined by the vibration forces steering the wheel. I've tried minimising 'Steering Sensitivity' while maxing 'Speed-Sensitive Steering' but the former has limited effect (it's not even enumerated in the UI, so it's hard to gauge what it's doing), while the latter just makes the steering ratio inconsistent (as it's supposed to), which is basically worse.

All i want to do is set a simple consistent I/O ratio, like you can in all the other sims.. I don't care if steering a kart hand-over-hand isn't necessarily realistic, i just wanna be able to steer the thing!
