does the game support aftermarket handbrakes?

A friend of mine recently got the game and he got interested in the adrenaline DLC, he does own this handbrake bellow but when he tried to map the handbrake on the extra brake assignment the handbrake would not be recognized any help?


I've currently also considered getting a aliexpress usb handbrake to play with the rally cars (I'm currently using the 4th gear of my g29 shifter in a user 2 wheel mapping) or maybe get a cheap sequential that could be used as a handbrake and now I'm not sure if it will work in AMS 2 lol
