Hi, I just want yo ask if a wet track dries the dry lane builds up acording to the cars passing or its just always the same dry line no Matter where the cars pases? Also If It matters to Drive in that dry lane or not. Thank you!
Confirmed. Water on track will be displaced at the places where cars are driving the most (so dynamically depending on actual lines taken by the field of cars). Same for rubber buildup btw., it will build up the most on places where cars are driving the most. The same is true for dirt build up if cars are pulling dirt from the track side onto the track - it happens dynamically. When you drive with wet tires on the dry line you will get more temp build up for them and it pays off to go on the wet lines again occasionally to cool them down (a dry track line still delivers better friction grip tho, of course). If it's getting only damp and you've got a "dry line" it could even pay off to stay on the dry line and use slicks if you can manage it.
