F1 Seasons Dev Update - May 2025 (part 2) It’s time to take you back to a defining era of Formula One. A time when brute turbo power began to take over, and the sport stood on the edge of a technical revolution. We're thrilled to finally unveil details about one of our most intense projects yet: the F1 1983 Season mod for AMS2, crafted with passion by JoL and friends. F1 1983 – The Rise of the Turbos 1983 was the first year turbos truly dominated F1, bringing both speed and reliability to the table. Driving an atmospheric Williams against turbocharged Ferraris and Brabhams was a proper challenge — and AMS2 reflects that dynamic beautifully. The title fight between Prost, Piquet and Arnoux was intense until the very end, and with this season mod, we’ve made sure that if you're racing this season, you feel that story unfold — whether you're chasing points in a Tyrrell or hunting victories in a Renault. Quality in every detail This mod includes everything you expect from an "F1 Seasons"-branded release: High resolution liveries Authentic helmets, suits, gloves AI file finely tuned for realistic performance and reliability 3D previews for that clean AMS2 experience There’s no "per-race livery" system here — our research team focused instead on getting each car’s primary look as accurate as possible, despite the lack of image resources from the early '80s. A full grid — with a few surprises Thanks to the flexibility of the Retro Gen 3 class in AMS2, we’ve built a full grid using Reiza’s 4 car models: Brabham BT52 (2 slots) and McLaren MP4/1C (2 slots) are reserved for their iconic real-life teams. The turbo model (10 slots) features Ferrari, Renault, Lotus-Renault, Alfa Romeo and Toleman. The atmo model (10 slots) houses Williams, Ligier, Tyrrell, Arrows and Theodore. We’ve gone further by integrating optional bonus teams — Spirit and ATS — replacing Toleman in certain XML scenarios. This keeps the grid flexible while staying historically consistent. Smart XML Selector The 1983 mod features a simple but effective XML Selector: one base scenario with the standard lineup, and two alternative scenarios letting you choose between Spirit or ATS on the grid. We’re staying as faithful as possible within the technical limits of AMS2. Senna's first steps A special "Senna Test" scenario allows you to jump into the very cars Ayrton Senna drove in his first private tests: McLaren, Brabham, Williams and Toleman, all with Senna's actual F3-era helmet and suit. And we’ve added a bonus: Stefan Bellof testing the #8 McLaren — a subtle tribute to another legend gone too soon.

I already did the 1983 season in my "every AMS2 F1 season in hardcode mode in order" project with the previous skinpack. But I was thinking on re-doing a Monaco GP with one of the generations I have already raced, since it is May. Now I know which one
