here is a description of what peak and linear mean. 80% FFB strength (with Torque Key) on Base and adjusted accordingly in Game gives a more coherent FFB feeling than 100% on Base and correspondingly less FFB in Game. In a German SimRacing forum, a large-scale test (with Simucube) has confirmed this. I also stick to this rule with the podium. Also the Fanatec settings are designed in something like this.
