Hi. First of all, happy new year to you all. I've just bought a fanatec dd+extreme and am struggling to get the display on the wheel working as I would like. I have the latest Fanatec app installed and drivers are up to date but can't get anything other than speed and selected gear to show on the display. When I select a different read out, ie lap times, they do display until I use the funky switch then it reverts back to speed and gear. I must be doing something wrong I guess but can not find any info on this online specific to ams2. Also wondering if I've selected the correct wheelbase option in control settings as the dd+extreme isn't an option. Any users of this equipment out there, I would love to hear from you . Thanks
Hi, Happy New Year to you as well, and congratulations on your purchase! I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with your DD and/or Fanatec app. I’ve attached a picture; could you please check if your settings match these: RPM/LED off and Shared Memory set to pCars 2. Thank you, Marius
Hi Marius. Thanks for the fast response. I can't get to my pc until later this evening, are the settings in your post how it should be? Thanks.
Yes, If you're using the Fana App. As well I believe you should use the following settings: (see pic)
Had a look at my settings last night, everything is as you suggested it should be apart from wheel set to custom. Problem is I believe if i set wheel to custom I will have to plug my v3 pedals in to USB instead of the dd+ base. Not ideal for me as I bought the setup for cross platform (pc ps5) and would have to scramble about underneath my rig to swap inputs every time. I'm assuming custom wheel profile wouldn't recognise the v3 pedals plugged into the wheel base?
Have you tried using the "Combined" mode instead of "Separated"? Alternatively, you could also use the native RPM/LEDs, which would mean you don’t need to load up the Fanatec App (FanaAp). It might take a bit of tweaking to find what works best for you. In an ideal world, I’d teleport to your sim rig and help you out in person! That said, I wish you a happy New Year, and together, we’ll get your issue sorted. Marius
