I think we've all seen this, a fast AI that is permanently stuck behind a slow AI during quali and being unable to get past in a realistic manner and get a representative time. Then they go pit, and are back out on track again, together, for the entire session. Even if they pit on a different in or out lap, because they spend the same amount of time in the pits, they come back out and the same slow AI is back behind the fast AI. This less of an issue during the race. So, obviously the ideal solution would be better passing AI logic, but if it were easy it would have been done already. I'd propose a work around, which is randomize the time the AI spend in the pits when they do pit during quali. That way they won't be guaranteed to be stuck together again when they rejoin the track. Thoughts?
