Hi, I have a Fanatec Podium DD1, and I have noticed that multiple times the FFB "resets" somehow (during a race). The problem is that my wheelbase has a dialog box that asks whether you want to "Enable Hi Torque?" and until you respond to that, the wheel is without FFB. Given the frequency with which the FFB resets, this is a very annoying problem, because in the middle of a race the wheel goes light, and you can imagine what ensues. Perhaps there is a solution to this? Those of you with Podium DD1's, is there anyway to disable that prompt from coming up? Note: Taking the High Torque Key from the back does not help, as the prompt now becomes "Enable Torque?" Argh! :-(
Hello @LuisB your case got me thinking what could be happening. (I also have Fanatec DD1 base). So to clarify: what you are experiencing is same as if you power off wheelbase and then power it back on instantly. Game will never trigger device power cycle. I would suggest checking power cable connection into wheelbase, if it appears loose.
I don't own this wheel but I read something about confirming the "High-Torque" setting. So this is just a wild guess. Torque key Perhaps your setting isn't saved and you activate the question during driving by holding your wheel in 90 degrees rotation for 5 seconds?
You can't invoke this Setting after it had been initially set after wheelbase startup. To clarify, wheel base "asking" whether to use high torque comes up only after it had been powered up, so what @LuisB is experiencing is wheelbase shutting down for brief moment and coming back up. Wheelbase message to confirm or deny high-torque mode persists on screen after power up until user confirms / denies it.
