File backup

I have searched, but can't seem to find the names and location of the files I need to backup for "Car Setups", FFB, etc.

No surprise, my wife is always saying,... "I don't look".

Check the documents folder

 

I found 5 VTS files under F:\DOCUMENTS\Automobilista 2\savegame\168476055\automobilista 2\vehiclesetups_1_5_3setup, so I can only assume they are "setup" files created when I made changes to the to individual car set ups. But no idea what car each file relates to.
But nothing regarding FFB etc., other than some "default" files.

 

Your "assume" is correct. But nobody included Reiza does know which of the .vts setup files is which.
You cant even check the latest by date/time - because the setup system in AMS2 is so idiotic created that when you load/save 1 setup for as example 1 car ALL the setup files for that car on ALL tracks gets renamed and the time mark is reset for ALL files.
The default ffb is saved in the shown default and the custom ffb is readable in the custom one.

 

Any updates on the ability to BACKUP properly "named car" setup files, etc.?

Dont try to rename one of the setup files (.vts) because then the setup does disappear inside the game.
And even worse there is a possibility that the setup index get corrupted so more files disappear.
