I've been playing around with the custom ffb files, looking at the changes between different patches and trying to get something as close to the feel and weight of Old Default but with the better application of LFB and clipping of the New Default. I think this comes pretty close so have a go. It also fixes the steering locks for those that don't get them properly and boosts output force to be similar to Old Default.

This is exactly the kind of thing I've been doing all day so far. Having to restart the sim with every single change is a real ball-ache and makes it all the more difficult to detect subtle changes. I'll compare our files and see how they differ.

You're right, it's annoying it can't pick up changes when changing from one of the defaults to custom. Would make it so much easier. I haven't actually changed that much as there aren't that many differences between new and old. Just tweaked a couple of variables back to the old values and added the other changes for steering lock and output boost.
