Alright boys, whats the difference between the 3 in the 1960’s and 1970's? They look like the same chassis with different engines?

Also Reiza, can we get a couple of Formula 5000 cars, thanks

So they took indycar drivers, put them in formula 5000 cars, and made them race F1 cars and drivers?

That seems, odd... Why not race their actual indycars of the period? Or was Indycar on formula 5000 regulations at the time?

Honesly, watching that, I would say in a couple years time, the formula 5000 cars could be brought to F1 standards laptime wise. Not bad for a club level formula car.

On a similar note, F1 and Indycar didn't seem too different in the early 80's. I believe one of the Longhorn chassis was a straight up Williams F1 clone.

EmptyBox has a good series on CART/IndyCar, and it's fascinating to see how F1 and CART/IndyCar went two completely different rules with somewhat similar initial rule sets (apart from ovals).
