Hello, I am new to AMS2 only got the game this past week but loving my experience so far. My wheel is the Logitech G pro DD, and I am using the recommended settings by logitech as posted on their support page: Wheel Strength 8nm (compromise, explained below) FFB Filter 8 Dampener 0/off TF audio 50 In Game Type Default Gain 100 Low Force Boost 0 FX 25 Damping 0 Menu Spring Strength 3 These settings feel really nice to me generally except for one problem that seems specific with the formula junior car, which is a shame since its one of my favorites so far I am experiencing strong runaway oscillation in the formula junior when idle with the engine on in the pits or stopped anywhere on track if I do not keep full grip on the wheel. This does not happen with any other cars I tested so far, open wheel or sports/touring. Adjusting the FFB filter, dampener, or TF audio on the wheel did not make any difference, same with FX and damping settings in game. Only settings which worked were wheel strength or the car specific ffb, neither are ideal fixes though since it reduces the overall weight of the steering when driving. Initially I was running 11Nm wheel strength which I usually prefer, but I found that turning the strength down was the only way to stop the oscillation. Reducing to 5Nm fully removed it, and for now I am running 8Nm as a compromise where the oscillation still happens but not as intense. I also tried using in the car specific ffb setting in the setup page, reducing to around 80% makes the oscillation build up more slowly so it is easier to grab the wheel before it shakes too much. So I guess I am looking for advice on what else to try, or maybe if there is a bug with this car since its not happening with others? Thanks for any insight. Somewhat unrelated, today when doing more testing my shift indicator lights on the wheel base did not work as they did the last several days. I don't think there was a game update but the logitech software did update this morning, I wonder if that could have broken compatibility? I brought it to attention of logitech support but I figured I would mention here too.
I continue to test and found something interesting, the Type setting under force feedback. I did not notice it before, but I had it to default like how logitech recommends. I changed it to "default+" and the oscillation in the formula junior is gone! however it made the steering much stiffer, to the point where 11nm feels much too heavy now. Reducing to 7-8nm makes it feel manageable, although it feels different than before. The trueforce effects feel stronger in some areas but not overall. I will have to test more, not sure if it feels overall better but certainly fixed my main issue.
