Formula Retro “Auto-Lift” doesn’t work

It works for every other car in the game (as far as I know), but when driving the Formula Retro (70’s F1) with auto-lift enabled, if you try and shift up with the throttle still applied, the revs spike. I’m on a gamepad, so lifting the throttle when shifting is not something I usually have to do, I can do it, but it still feels weird. Clearly the auto lift function doesn't work for the Formula Retro, don't suppose this is something that could be patched?
