On Nordschleife 24h track ERS just stop working about a third to the track. Auto or manual, does not matter, still it does not deploy after driving the track a bit, battery only charge to full and stays there.
Yes, you probably right. In F1 I think the energy amount is always the same, long track or short one. Nordschleife 24h is so long that even having ERS there now seems almost pointless.
