Formula USA 2023, really? Where?

Hi guys,

I've been dying for a modern Indycar for this game and the best I could get was the USA packs, with older Indycars.
I've got all the DLC, so I thought that if there was a modern-day Indycar, it would be in the game, right?

Spoiler: there is none.

However: the newest update has a change-log from .2 to .4 and says under the title "Physics" this: "F-USA 2023: added AMDM model"
Went looking again: no F-USA 2023.

Am I stupid or what? Am I missing something here?

Well, I'm an idiot......the ONLY pack I didn't have, was the USA-3. Those 3 tracks in there didn't attract me. There is no mention in there of the car!
Lol, I didn't realise I didn't have THAT pack......
Solved now!
It is a bit of a shame that the car looks that bad, with the top of the windscreen and so, but hey, I can drive a modern day Indycar!

Just tonight, I dove into the "content manager" thing, seems to be new (at least, for me) and found some mods that were from Pcars 2 before it seems plus some extra.
Way, way back in the day, I tried to add some mod I found somewhere and had to fight with bootfiles and stuff: I gave up as I thought this game was not friendly on mods.

Now this little program, new mods I found, THE mod of mods you gave the link to: my day can not get any better!!

Still have to figure out that mod manager though: I found 55(!) mods and it takes a while to install, but when you add just ONE mod after that, it goes and Uninstall ALL 55 mods and install 56.
So, that's not funny anymore

Reiza had made a F-USA modern car that looked close to modern real life Indycars, they tested it in beta, announced it in one of the developer updates, but ended up removing it from the game for licensing reasons.

 

Ah, okay, but now it IS in there? They resolved it I presume?

 

No, there aren't any news on that front yet. We can hope but the answer right now is no.

 

Ehh, I don't get it: the first two posts after mine showed the car and when I bought the USA part 3, I did get the F-USA 2023, I'm driving it now.
Or is it a naming matter you mean?

Correct. There's some speculation that maybe now that MSG doesn't have the license for the Indycar anymore maybe we can see the model back into ams2.. but so far Reiza haven't said anything about it.

For now, the Fusa23 which uses the same physics I believe and the Indycar mod are the 2 best options
