Formula USA only fictional?

Hi guys,
I´m wondering if the Formula USA we get with the USA Racing Pack 2 is pure fiction... Tried a google-search but got only F1 topics when searching for "Formula USA".

The formula USA in RP2, are the Gen1, gen2 and gen3 USA's. Those are the CART from 1995, 1998 and 2000 if I'm not mistaken. So no, they're not fictional.
If I'm not mistaken isn't the Fusa 2023 free? or maybe it's also included in some DLC?

 

They're not fictional, they represent the CART seasons @Inkta mentioned, but they are not licensend, therefore the name "CART" cannot be used, so they are called Formula USA instead. Like Kansai instead of Suzuka, or Spielberg instead of Red Bull Ring.

Or, better example, like the RSS Mod for Assetto Corsa representing the IR-18 Indycar is called Formula Americas, since it's also not licensed.

 

Yeah, you´re right, the F-USA 2023 is included in the main game... But the cars don´t show the actual Indycars... That´s why I thought there might be a reallife F-USA... ;-)

 

You´re right too... ;-) But what about the F-USA 2023? The cars are different to the actual Indycars.

 

Those are fictional but inspired by 2023 Indycars.

The "real" indycar was sadly canceled due to problems with Indycar itself, licencing issues..

 

Yeah, think so... Fortunately do we have an excellert mod for that. ;-)

 

Fun Fact: The old Formula USA 2023 models resembled the Dallara IR18. It was initially canceled due to copyright by the Indycar Corporation, so Reiza had to redesign it.
