So, I've noticed this issue has been getting progressively worse over the last month or so, but I'm finding that my front brakes are locked any time I come to a stop, or start from a stop. It's most evident when I'm racing slower cars like the formula vee, but it happens with every car. Higher HP cars, like F1 cars, tend to be able to overcome this phenomenon, but lower HP cars seem especially affected.

When trying to launch any lower powered car, like the Vee or the Inter, it'll literally lock its front brakes to the point of smoking the front tires - leaving rubber tire marks on the pavement, either being unable to race the car, or having it suddenly unlock. If it does unlock, it seems to stay unlocked until I come to a stop again (like if I crash). I really have no idea what's going on. Sometimes it's both front tires. Other times it's the front left or right, but it's always one (or both) of the fronts.

    It gets weirder though...

The weirdest part - telemetry is detecting NO INPUT by ANYTHING other than throttle. Looking at the input animations and actual telemetry, the only input being detected is the throttle. It's not detecting input from my pedals, or anything else, but yet - the tires lock up (and stay locked up) any time the car is stopped.

At this point, I've done the following things to try to resolve this:
    • Rebind my controls/Recalibrated
    • Reverted to my old pedals (Pedal CSL Elite v1) but also affected my primary pedals (Simforge Mark-1's)
    • I've tried deleting the AMS2 folder in "My documents"
    • I've REFORMATTED my computer
None of those things have made a difference. This is also the only game that is affected by this. I regularly use iracing without issues, in addition to ACC, but my primary racing game (AMS2) has been giving me real issues lately.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? This was literally reported almost word for word in another thread by another person (I participated in that thread too), but there was no response by anybody with any suggestions.

    Thanks!

I'd look into updating/reinstalling the drivers for your hardware. you could also look into using a different USB port, they can be temperamental.

That there in lies the problem. Even if I completely disconnect my pedals, and bind the throttle to a key, it'll still do it. I've reinstalled drivers, the game, and my whole OS - each time with the latest and greatest drivers/software. Hasn't seemed to make a difference since sometime after 1.5.x

I've been trying to find ANY indicator that the game's receiving a signal from a device, but it's not. And sometimes it's the FR wheel that locks. Sometimes it's the FL. And today, it was both front wheels. :/ I'm kinda at my wit's end.

Could it be a Steam game controller that is interfering?
Check in the Steam contr settings.
