Hi, AMS2 has been build to be realistic, so cars have shifting either by using paddles, sequential or H-shifter. I have G25 with Leo Bodnar cable. It seems that in AMS2 cars which are marked to be sequential, I'm only able to use paddle shifters. In those cars if I set G25 shifter to sequential mode, AMS2 does not react to it at all. If I use H-pattern instead (in sequential car), it does not work properly: e.g. randomly but very regularly 3rd and 5th gear does not go in. Very frustrating not to be able to drive certain era cars, like those are irl and how those are planned to be driven in AMS2. Many thanks for possible comments how to fix this issue.
Fellow G25 user here. I don't know what the Leo Bodnar cable does (standalone/upgrade for the pedals I think?), but if you want to make use of the G25 shifter's sequential mode, you need to assign the corresponding inputs first because they are mapped as different buttons. In other words, switch to sequential mode and assign these inputs for up and down shifts and it should work. Though I have since upgraded to a SHH Thorn Shifter (great piece of kit for the price btw) and have converted my G25 stick to an improvised handbrake ever since, I still use the same method I did before, that is: Create two identical controller profiles for my wheel setup in AMS2 with the main difference being the controls assigned for shifting (i.e. H-Pattern/Paddles vs. Sequential Stick). It's a bit of a hassle to change the control profiles before loading into a track, but I hope that one day Reiza will be able to enable switching profiles while on track. I hope that helps!
Thanks for the answer. I think the only solution available at the moment is the one you mentioned "Create two identical controller profiles for wheel setup in AMS2 (H-Pattern/Paddles vs. Sequential Stick)". I hope in some day AMS2 supports all three shifting types in one profile with controls separated for each three!
