ghost cars have headstart at time trials

Ghost cars (LMP2 Gen2) at a time trial on Interlagos GP have a significant headstart.

I have randomly noticed this behaviour on a number of other tracks with different cars over the years.
IMO it is odd to be like 1+ seconds behind your competitors right from get-go.
It also kinda defeats the purpose of racing against ghosts.

So the question is:
Has anyone else recently experienced such quirks and if so, what's your take on this?

 

This happens on track where the finish line was moved to be accurate to the real life one / what you see painted on the track. The overall laptime should not be influenced by that start and finish will still be on the same spot for the lap
