Hi Guys, in V1.1.2.0 they are mentioning "Bumped headlight range from 160 to 240m for all cars" But ...wtf?? Its still dark as hell. Its impossible to drive at night for example at the Nordschleife (0:00 time) You cannot see anything there... When will REIZA fix this finally??
I have a feeling the lowering of headlight strength was to reduce the shimmering on cars in front of the player, in early AMS2 and back in pC2, headlights where better for visibility but the shimmer was/is terrible, maybe Reiza thought to reduce the strength to improve that but the side effect is now visibility is to poor.

The driving at the Nordschleife isn't impossible at night, but you have to learn the track by daylight. So yes, we have to little light to have a comfortable drive. (The hell is quite bright i think)
dont agree with your answer mate! I know the Nordschleife inside out!! This night driving as it is now, has nothing to do with reality! Where are the HIGH BEAM`s? As long as this won`t be fixed, its impossible to do night races there!
Edit: the text below can be summarised deeeeeerrrrrppp! Are you sure you're headlights were working at all? I ran a race at Goiania last night, Stock Car 2019, Heavy Cloud, 6pm, real-time. By the end of the race the track had become very dark. Track lights came on, but my headlights were a no show, dashboard lit up as expected but externally nothing. No other cars had their lights enabled either. Given the light levels I would have expected them to. Probably a seperate issue to yours but, I will post a bug report of mine later today.
Haha amazing! Thank you....how have I never noticed this! I'm shocked by both my own stupidity and the fact that I've never tried to drive them in the dark before. But of course it makes total sense. Guess I just saw glass and expected them to work. Thank you again.
I know the range was increased in last update but I raced the Merc GT3 tonight at spa and the range did not seem to be any better than before.
Like the real Nascar, the headlights are simply photoreal "stickers" they glue on the cars. Can you imagine the debris and potentially tire punctures that would be cause by real glass in Nascar?
Agree, absolutely not any better mate! There must be high beam soon!!! When does Reiza finally fix this?? Want to do proper night races. Did a GT1-Race before at Spa. Check how damn dark it is at the end of the race. Even with headlights on I cant even see the next corner. Its ridiculous!!!
Just watched some footage of night time racing at Spa, and at some places it's just black. Your video doesn't seem to be too far off from what I saw
