Here I made another screen capture. At around 7 seconds check it... there is the frame stop. Its not severe but its there!! Focus with your eyes on the green bushes on the left then you recognize it.

    <iframe src="
    " width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I tried already so many different things. Changed the graphic settings to low... MSAA off ...

Reinstalled the game and many more... Nothing fixed it. Its still there and SUPER ANNOYING!

It happens 2 or 3 or more times each lap... and it kills the immersion. Dont know how to solve

    -Rog StRix X570-F Motherboard
    -Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF
    -AMD 5900x CPU
    -32 GB RAM

Settings Anistropic 16x, MSAA high, the rest high

Tried already with lowest graphic settings possible.

    Its still there.

    Lucky bugger.
Have you tried Vsync? Not that you may want to use it but just to see if that smooths that out. What FPS are you trying to achieve?

Already tried with V-snyc on and off. Doesnt solve the issue either.

I have the Samsung CHG49 120Hz ultrawide monitor.

The ingame FPS counter tells me something Like 350-400 FPS. (vsync Off)

I dont believe its caused by my hardware. If ever, then my CPU or GPU is overperforming

Perhaps the issue is the Game engine?

I believe there is an issue with stuttering, and I get it, it is apparantly related to AI cars pitting, I can reproduce it, pretty sure it is a reported bug, that could be your issue.

Really? But I have it also in training session (alone), without any other AI Car on the track

I think thats a totally different issue.

If that is the case then yes, would be a different issue.
How do you get so much fps or is this when alone on the track practicing? Dont think I've ever seen fps that high in AMS2.

yes alone on track. Here last session I had ~300 fps. I guess thats the maximum what my RTX3080 throws on my monitor.

The stutter is still there and its soo strange... I guess this is a game issue..

Is there a REIZA employee or programmer somewhere, perhaps this a new ISSUE.

Any reiza programmer here at the forum to whom I may report this?

Its exactly the same like this guy has:

As I said, I cant play it anymore as this happens suddenly every 10-20 seconds. No fluent gaming experience at all. :(

I'd check with NVIDIA Profile Inspector that G-Sync (Freesync for your monitor) is enabled for AMS2AVX.exe. I could see this stutter happen if the framerate dips below 120 occasionally and G-Sync is not working. And check that G-Sync is globally enabled for your monitor in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Other than that, make sure to keep in-game v-sync on and maybe reduce "set "Render frames ahead" to 1 in Performance settings".
If you still have this issue, you can try borderless window if using fullscreen or vice-versa.

SOLVED :):):) (how can I change the thread title to SOLVED?)

BIG Thanks bobbie424242!!! I did the following and the image tearing has immediately gone:

    - Changed the monitor connection from HDMI to DisplayPort cable to enable FreeSync (G-Snyc at NVIDIA) at my Samsung CHG49 ultrawide ... positive side effect: Now I can use the unbelievable 144Hz of this monitor instead of the 120Hz ... I didnt even know this before...
-Enabled G-Sync at NVIDIA Control Panel and assigned G-Sync at AMS2AVX.exe at NVIDIA Profile Inspector.
-Enabled V-Snyc in AMS2 in game
-Switched to borderless window mode in AMS2 in game.

Now I have ultra smooth and ultra fluent steady 144 FPS picture at my monitor without any image tearing!"

GREAT HELP - SAVED MY DAY
