We had a bunch of disconnect issues with a league race tonight. Looking for some guidance and information.
13 players including host with host and most others in North America. Not using a dedicated server. All players but one showed strong yellow for connection status in the lobby with one player strong red. Race two weeks ago at Daytona with same host and 12 players including host ran fine.
Got through qualifying and transition to grid. Between formation lap and first lap we lost over half the field. Tried again with no qualifying, standing start and first lap as a formation lap. By lap 3 we had lost over half the field. There was no stuttering or signs of a player with a bad connection. Things seemed to be going great and then I'd see the notification that I was disconnected. Didn't do any in depth troubleshooting yet as we were trying to salvage the event.

    Questions:

    1) Are these the correct and complete port forwarding requirements when hosting without a dedicated server?

    27015 TCP/UDP
    27016 TCP/UDP
    8766 TCP/UDP

    2) If the host is borderline on upload bandwidth to handle 15 or 20 players, how would a dedicated server with AWS or Emperor impact the download/upload bandwidth requirements for the host?

    3) Can someone explain how the P2P networking without a dedicated server works if only the host is configured for port forwarding? I assume it would need to either proxy through the host or it falls back to everyone syncing with the host.
