For all of you who mandatory have followed the forum mantra of allways after an update to delete the complete folder: Documents\Automobilista 2
Then here is maybe a less cumbersome way of getting the update but without having to use hours to input the same settings and re-calibrate the input devices in the different menus.:p

Just follow the mantra and delete the folder - but before that save the (now) old folder somewhere on your HD.
When you have started AMS2 up 1x a new fresh version of the deleted folder will (hopefully ;)) be created.
Now exit the game and copy the shown 6 files back from your backup to their intended positions in the new folder (yesss overwrite the created 6 virgin files ).
Voila. Now you have the updated game version with your orig cumbersome settings still intact.

Personally I have NEVER followed this mantra.
But OK this time I wanted to check out if I have missed something in all the updates until now.
So after the last upd I followed my advice above and moved the mentioned folder out of Documents.

    And something funny happened.
Because all setups is lost following the mantra I exactly re-created my best setup for my prefered track at the moment: Spa.
And the funny thing is that eventhough I (maybe) could/could not feel a (tiny) change in the behaviour of my prefered car (F-V10-G1) - then for the first time after several days failed attempts to better my TT laptime - I suddenly after a few attempts with the exactly same reconstructed setup was able to up my Spa laptime from 1:48.780 to 1:48.536.:)

ByTheWay: I dunno if it is pure placebo or what - but at least the F-V10-G1 doesnt feel worse than before.:D
