Hello! Once upon a time, I used a Logitech Momo Racing in order to enjoy computer races. It was an awesome wheel and it served me well through more than a decade. Anyway, meanwhile I own a Fanatec CSW 2.5 with DD2 base. So far all right. I do remember though that if I lost traction with the front wheels in any game, the Logitech reacted in such a way, that suddenly all force feedback within the direction of the corner suddenly got loose, thus simulating loss of traction at the fronts. Which setting in AMS2 or for the Fanatec hardware is to be adjusted to get this effect with my current hardware setup? Thanks in advance, herakles
Hello! I don't think there is such a setting in Automobilista 2. I could be wrong about this, but I don't think the force feedback model in AMS2 knows anything about grip levels, rather it interprets forces that act on the steering column (e.g. suspension trail and pneumatic trail), so the closest you'll get is to be able to adjust such factors as the amplitude of the scrub effect that happens when tires lose traction. (Self-centering torque which is a product of pneumatic trail does go light according to slip angle and grip levels, but it happens gradually and maximum force happens a good bit before maximum grip. Source) There are custom force feedback files, and while some of them do feel very different from the Default+ in AMS2, I haven't come across any custom FFB file that "suddenly goes light" exactly when you lose grip. But I'm no expert on custom FFB, so you might want to ask here: Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations Cheers, Roar
This was present in some of KarstenĀ“s original custom files. Some discussion about it around post #1612 in this thread: Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations
