I've never been a professional racer and I'm too old to start now, but seems strange there's no thread about how to improve your driving, at least to me, so why not have a forum where people can post a link to a video and ask a question about how to improve by people who don't get ignored on social media for no rational reason I can think of other than an algorithm that rewards views. A lot of people seem amazed when the see me they see me drive a Sauber on any track on AMS2 on my laptop at a coffee shop, but I'm always looking for honest advice on how to improve anything worth practicing. I can comprehend an instruction manual better that most people, which is why I can do whatever I want in my early 50s, but I've always known progress is backwards if you make the wrong turn. I'm not a salesperson but it seems this might greatly improve the visibility of the game. Most random gamers I've met IRL never heard of AMS2 until they saw me playing it, and I know some of them bought the game... but I don't stream or record very often. It's just a form of mediation for me. Twitch
The whole point of meditation is a pattern of thinking that calms you down, which gives you the ability to something exactly the same way every time without having to think about it. I don't care if I'm fast. I just want to know the right techniques well enough to be able to improvise. But racing against AI is impossible when the rules are different for the other cars
I don't claim to be at all quick myself, but many consider this video the best resource available. There's lots in there.
Courage comes from the confidence that results from mastery of a specific skill in most useful abilities, even if there's no risk involved.
