Loading/saving a Car Setup for the Formula HiTech Gen2 is causing a crash of the game since the update to 1.6.8.5. It is sufficient to simply click 'Load' or 'Save'. I admit that I definitely have quite a few old custom setups. Could it help to delete them (in which folder)? However, I would like to continue using some of them.

    Hi, welcome to our forum!

To resolve answer you question, follow these steps:

    Go to: C:\Users\name\Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\numbers\automobilista 2

    • Back up your tuning folders
    • Delete the original folders
    • Boot up the game
    • Just in case, press "Reset setup" when you're loaded ingame.

Alternatively, you can verify the game cache:

    • Right-click on AMS2
    • Select Properties
    • Go to Installed files
    • Click Verify cache
If you’re still experiencing crashes, feel free to reach out for further assistance.

    Marius

    Yeah, that worked for me!
Here is what I did to fix the crash and save some setups:
    1. I backed up my last used setup folder (vehiclesetups_1_6).
    2. I went into the original folder and only deleted the files that started with the same letters in the beginning as the last *.vts file I used (checked the file-date).
    3. The game worked again! The crash was gone.
    4. In a second step, I started copying my old setup files back into the folder, testing the game after each batch.
    5. The crash reoccurred somewhere between the 25th and 50th file I copied back. So I deleted this batch again.
Conclusion: By doing this, I was able to successfully 'save' and reuse a large number of my old setups, and I only had to discard a few corrupted ones that caused the crash. This approach is much better than deleting everything!"
