Hi guys, gals I may be dumb, I surely am, but is there a limited number of custom liveries per car. I've dowloaded some "packs" from racedepartment but, on the livery selection screen, some are missing. I've checked the xml file and all seems fine so I'm a bit lost. No matter what I do, I can't have more than 6 or 7 (depends on the car...) custom liveries. Thanks for help
Liveries are limited to 40 per class. Depending on how many cars are in a class, that gives you the number of liveries you can use per car.
I thought this might explain my issue but it doesn't seem to be the case in GT4. Several months ago I could run 12 liveries for the Camaro GT4. Now there are only 5-6 livery slots available depending on the car even when using no custom liveries or xml. I lowered the number in my pack to 10 which would make a max of 39 liveries but still no luck. If the additonal livery slots are not available for a car it doesn't matter what the max allowable liveries are. Was there a past update to the GT4 class that lowered the number of allowable liveries per car for some reason?
The limit was introduced some time in 2022 IIRC, that could explain why you didn't have this issue some months back. Like I said, it's 40 per class, there are six cars in the GT4 class, so that's 6.6 liveries per car. I guess the easiest way would be to look how many stock liveries there are for a given GT4 car and use that number in your XML, but I don't know much about livery modding, so I'm not sure that would work, just a common sense thought.
There were fewer GT4s in the class previously as well so the additional cars forced a restriction to fewer per car it seems.
