Mods possible when starting a private session?

Hi,

i'm trying to convince my friend to buy Automobilista 2 so we can race again together in a private session (filled with AI drivers). We used to do this in PC2, but we switched last year to Raceroom. We really miss the feature of creating our custom sessions (we made a championship on our own). This year I bought Automobilista 2 and I know that the multiplayer options are the same as PC2 had. Is it also possible to start a session with custom mods, meaning that we both see the same mod-changes? By 'mods', i just mean adjusting racing-names and skill-levels (no custom liveries needed).

Is this possible?

Principally yes - if you all have installed (exactly) the same mod.
But I doubt it anyway after I have often experienced that Im even unable to chose my own normal default car skin if I host a MP session.
Even my own skin is chosen randomly by the game.

ByTheWay: I guess the reason you havent got an answer is that its quite normal people dont answer if their answer point out some problems in the code of the game
