I'm guessing the answer will be negative but trying anyway, you never know. I bought AMS2 via Steam on my account. It's currently running on my game pc as well as my daughters pc (she confiscated my old game pc). Is there a way I can race against here? So a multiplayer session over local network? Cause we're logged into the same account, when I set up a private session and wait in the lobby on my computer; the exact same thing happens on her computer as well. So it's seen as one and the same user.
You will need to seperate Steam accounts who both own AMS2 and any DLC cars you want to use, then setup a private lobby, or a hidden lobby, but then you need to invite the other account into the lobby
Well, ams2 is still on sale and you dont need to get the track DLC, as long as the host owns the track, the others can join, only at least one of the cars being used needs to be owned, so for example in a GTE/GT3 multiclass race, the host if owning the GTE cars can use those, the people that don't own the GTE cars can only drive the GT3
Aha, didn't see the sale. Might be something to consider indeed. I would need 2 DLCs also though. She's a fan of Silverstone & Spa circuits. Will need to make her a steam account as well. I assume I'll need to download & reinstall everything again with her account then? No chance existing steam app files and/or AMS2 settings are not removed and I can just log in with her new account then?
If she wants to drive those tracks offline the dlc will be needed indeed, not sure what those 2 dlc cost in the sale, but i think you can get ams2 and the season pass bundle for around 30 bucks, which might be cheaper in the end
