Multiplayer with friends - Setting up the AI

Hello everyone,

my friend group and I are considering moving to AMS2 as our go-to sim.
I'm interested in setting up an F1 race, with AI filling the open slots.

The problem I encountered is that the AI always picks liveries that a player has already selected. We'd like to race in teams of two, but with how the AI behaves right now, that does not seem possible.
Sometimes there's teams of 3-4 or AIs that drive "solo".

Is there any way to specifically set up which livery the AI takes? It seems kinda random right now.
It's weird because it seems to work correctly in singleplayer, with the AI filling the correct slot and every "team" having two drivers. Is that in any way possible through the game, with mods or a dedicated server setup?

Other than that, we really enjoy the game.

Had the same problem.
Loaded into Multiplayer Lobby, choose a Ferrari, but had 2 others than in the race.
3 Ferraris but one box, while others had their box for themself.
Hope we get the "Edit Grid"-Button in multiplayer soon.

 

Since AI customization is disabled in MP for now, as stated by the devs here, I suppose that is true for the grid management as well, so the liveries are picked randomly.

Would absolutetely love to see this feature though. And the next step would be a custom championship with MP and AI filling up the grid. That would be the pinneacle of casual sim racing with friends and family.
