Longish post but want to put all the details. To start with I've been playing AMS2 for 6 months without any issues prior to this. Starting yesterday each time I tried to edit a championship it would disappear from the list. I started with 4 championships, which I believe is the default, and by the end of the day I was down to zero. Here's the steps I took and the results. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game (Steam version) -- No change Ran the file verification in Steam -- no errors and no change. Uninstalled the game, deleted the directory that remained in the Steam folder and reinstalled -- no change. Ran the file verification in Steam (no errors), uninstalled the game, deleted the AMS directory in my documents folder, reinstalled -- now there was 1 Championship available but after creating a season, using the Formula Hi-Tech vehicles, I am unable to select a vehicle to start the season. The button will highlight when I mouse over it but it cannot be selected. Uninstalled the game, searched my drive for all instances of "Automobilista" and deleted them all then reinstalled -- same results, only 1 championship shown and could not select a vehicle type. I then changed the vehicle type from Formula Hi-Tech to a Stock Car (don't remember which version). Now I the vehicle select button worked but there were no skins in the selection list just a column of blank entries. Uninstalled and reinstalling again but I doubt anything will change so I decided to ping customer support instead. I have roughly 1TB of free space on my drive prior to the install. I'm running an Alien PC, Win 11, 32GB of Ram and a RTX 3080 GPU. While I'm waiting for a response I'll check all my drivers to see if any need updating.
The reinstallation did nothing. Here's a screenshot of what the vehicle select looks like after picking GT3 as a vehicle type.
Ok last update. I went back to the main menu then into the championship select and the GT3 cars were now selectable. They still didn't work for the Formula Hi-Tech. I then went to the single race menu and noticed that the Formula Hi-Tech were not a choice in the list, although they still were in the Championship editor. I then went into Steam and saw that the Hi-Tech was now not in my library so I went ahead and purchased it, not sure if it showing up for free originally was a bug, and now everything seems to be working correctly.
