Need Help! Can't covert P2 Skin to AMS2

Need Help! Can't covert P2 Skin to AMS2. It doesn't seem to want to show up in AMS2 here is my skin and my vehicle override data. I tried converting in Photoshop with the nVidia dds plugin and tried the dds2 Converter. No luck. I've attached the file with layers and a bmp of the skin.

Any help or if anyone can convert and make it work for me would be much appreciated. The file is too big to compress and upload.

I can't compress it small enough to the 3 MB limit

 

Its a pretty large image. Thanks. If anyone can get this working in game let me know how. Thanks. I'm not unfamiliar with the process on PCARs 2, just cant get this working in AMS2.1

use Notepadd++ for editting xmls, the you see the text in differen colors you you would have seen that immediately

Sorry for my ignorance, I did get notepad++ and I can see the words differently colored, but what does that mean as far as getting the xml to work? I tried copying your text in an xml and it still won't work. Thanks.

 

if its green, then its a comment.
I did not check the rest of your text, because i don't know if you entered right names and sub directories.
There is also a header part that is nescessary.
use the original xml and insert the part for that car.

 

Here is the nissan_r89c.xml file I'm using. I copied the nissan_r89c_dist.xml file and renamed it nissan_r89c.xml. I added you text from previous response and it still doesn't work. I'm not getting this.

 

You declared the user_overide instruction one too many times, which means that in fact you closed the command chain just before the data of your model, delete the excess user _overide (the one you typed just before the model ) because it is already declared at the very beginning of the XLM.

 

xml scripts aren't novels.
a single typo kills functionality, so be careful.

OK I've use the xml file from your help and placed in the custom livery/overrides/nissan_r89c folder and placed the .dds in a folder within labeled DeltaRC. It does not show up?

I am using ID_57, and when I go to select the livery it doesn't show mine, but it selects one of the others and it changes every time I go back and reselect ID_57 to one of the base liveries or cycle through them?

Can one of you test in your game and see if it actually works? Thanks.

 

this method makes no sense.
Zip and post the full nissan_r89c folder and than we can test and find the bug
