There is no sound in the game. Audio works fine in Windows 11 and all other apps (including Steam).
I have already searched all forums on Steam and here. I found similar reports -- tried all suggested solutions but none worked for me.
I also did a lot of troubleshooting steps suggested by Perplexity, including: reinstalling the audio driver, restarting windows audio service, removing game config files, disabling all other audio devices I am not using etc.

Game Options (Audio Settings on the very bottom) show: "Audio Device: N/A"

Do you have your audio device set to a samplerate > 192 kHz in Windows audio settings ? Then that's the cause of the problem because AMS2 sound engine has a limitation and wants <= 192 kHz, otherwise it will not detect the audio device.

Thanks for this reply -- made me very optimistic... for 5 minutes ;) -- until I went to my gaming PC to check and learn that my windows audio settings are just default 48kHz (precisely: "2 channels, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)"), so that's unfortunately not it.

Any other suggestions please? I really like this game, but without sound it's just unplayable.

Is the sound of/for AMS 2 muted or very low in sound mixer (bottom right, speaker symbol)?
(That had been an issue with RDR2 a couple of years ago.)Edit: Oh, I just read your last sentence of your first post ... so it must be something else if your audio device is not even detected by AMS 2.

Nope, it's full 100% like all other apps.
Also, I think the most important point to start the troubleshooting is the fact that there is "Audio Device: N/A" in game's Audio Settings, so it doesn't seem like some volume issue or anything at that level.
BTW: what do you guys see as "Audio Device" on the very bottom of the Audio Settings?

Normally in AMS2 Audio Devices, it should list any Audio-Devices listed in Windows Audio.

I've had the No Audio issue in AMS2 but, don't recall if there was no hardware listed in game. The fix was to delete my player profile and start fresh (Save / rename old one).

    This is what I see:

Also, below is the contents of the "gameoverlay_renderer.txt" file (from Steam logs), which seems to cover the game start.
I don't see much Audio related stuff except for:
    and:
BTW: Any idea if/how I can turn on some kind of debug logs or something? Or maybe there are some other logs I didn't come across?
