Hey guys, I keep consistently getting no race start lights on online races that feature a standing start following a formation lap. I am lining up properly on my spot following the formation lights and I get no warning from the game that I am not lined up properly which appears when that is the case. I get no start lights and as soon as I pass the starting line I am showing up as leading the race for the first lap regardless of my position which is usually several places behind the leaders since I have to wait for them to launch as I get no lights and as a result I launch with a delay. Once the first lap has been completed opponent cars disappear and I am getting disconnected from the server. I have tried multiple races with the AI and I have no problem lining up so it is not a line up problem following the formation lap, my game simply appears to be bugging out when racing online. If anyone has a similar issue and has tracked down the problem please help as I cannot race online and it is super frustrating going through the practice/qualify sessions only to have my race destroyed by this issue.
We use this method (formation/standing) in our league races and i don't think anyone experienced this issue. It looks like more of a connectivity issue with the server, since the game always takes a while to disconnect you when there's a problem. Is this always on the same server?
I've got the same problem as you, tried almost everything including new router, nothing helps. Have with some success been able to do races if I'm using the chat during formation lap and regularly throughout the race, but haven't been able to conclude that this helps. However, it's finally nice (ish) to see I'm not alone with this problem
Well I only get the issue on race starts, how can it be connection issues if I can stay connected for an hour doing the practice/qualify sessions. I am racing on the Race Department EU server and my latency is fine. I did run an integrity check and some corrupted files came up so hopefully that was the cause of the problem, will have to wait and see on the next race I try. I am about to give up on the online AMS races if this continues.
