The rooms are pretty much worthless at this early point. When is this ranking system coming? Fist time sitting down and doing seven or eight races, six of them were Class A dumpster fires. Nut jobs just barreling into sides of cars to mega rammers on starts sending cars flying and spinning through the air. Hell getting away feels like a win - that is until the next corner looking back and seeing a flaming spear at full speed coming dead center, severing my spine in seven places. Rooms for racers - I hope that will get sorted.
Aren't all the servers right now just people hosting them on their own PCs? That would go some way to explaining the poor quality. Once we have a dedicated server app the various communities can start hosting proper events. That should offer some cleaner racing.
Honestly I haven't even looked at MP until I can learn the tracks/cars. Don't want to be "that guy" who goes into MP servers causing mayhem....
Perhaps people floundering a bit with the car setups and then then integrating the updates as they happen to the game? Not all people are going to be World Champions before they've at least played AMS2 for a bit, lots of strange things going on, just look at the updates in 0.8.2. Anybody who knows in advance how these things will translate is a ringer because thy must have inside information.
Floundering with the car doesn't equal cars getting rammed so hard that it shoots them six feet in the air and almost clearing the gravel traps. Thats just one example. Doesn't matter much really, I didn't know when I first posted that these weren't Reiza servers (yet). So, by nature, its a rammers paradise. Not everyone, but ones enough for me.
