    Hi all,
Complete and total beginner here, very excited to play this game and thanks for putting the game on sale at Steam. I've hit one serious issue I could use help on, and then a number of smaller issues that I think are just down to me being a total rookie at this.

    Windows 7 Pro N
    nVidia 970 (evga)
    thrustmaster t300 RS/GT
    single monitor

Serious problem first: After a race (or any session) ends I am looking at the split-screen display with the race results on the left and the replay video of me driving around on the right. If I click the icon on the right panel to take the replay video to full-screen, I cannot get out of it. I can watch the highlights of me riding around in the grass, but when I hit the ESC key on the keyboard, instead of going back to the previous screen and back into the game, it switches to a view of the pits with no cars - and I am stuck there. I'm looking at the wall of the garages, and no keypress or button pushing can get me out of that state. I have had to open task manager and force-kill the game twice.

Can anyone help me here? Not sure if more detail is helpful, but I was kart-racing with the very first kart (125 body direct drive) on the very first track (Floripa Kart 1). I can get stuck after a practice session or after a race session.

    Additional rookie issues:
[solved] disabled Avast to allow game to run (AMS.exe blocked)
[solved] found the button (#9 - R2) to lift the pit lane speed limiter

Is there a rookie gameplay guide somewhere? I'd rather not pepper you all with FAQS. Nonetheless:

    - I could not figure out the protocol for the practice sessions on the kart track. I'd roll out of the pits to the start line. If I went past the start line I'd get a caution flag. If I sit on the start line waiting for some "go" signal, one of the other carts would rear-end me. How am I supposed to properly start the practice sessions? I was playing games like trying to watch the other dots roll out of the pits on the mini-map and time my acceleration to not get rear-ended, but that doesn't seem right.

    - After a practice session, I come into the pits and park the car in the red square in pit lane. Then what? Is it on me to hit ESC and go to the next session? Should I be going something else? I'm just sitting there.

Thanks all, I'm sure there's more to come. The driving part of the game is a blast! (Even if the default 50-lap cart race seems waaaay too long right now.)

    - There's a small arrow at the bottom left corner for you to get out of the full screen replay. When you hit ESC you just get out of the replay, but it remains in a TV camera pointed at your car live. If you want replay again, hit R.

    - I don't understand your issue. Maybe just ignore the yellow flag.

    - Yes, you have to hit ESC when you finish a session.

    Yes! thanks.

If I am position 3 in qualifying, I have to wait for 1 and 2 to roll out - then I roll out. ( I think ) It just seems like a long time sitting in pits waiting to hear someone else's engine rev up.

Thanks again for both the replies - much appreciated.
